Customer Service Administrator

To maintain Girbau UK’s growing presence in the UK laundry equipment sector, we are looking to hire a Customer Service Administrator to work at our Hitchin headquarters.

The role forms an important and integral part of the Commercial Service Team and requires someone who is passionate about customer service and is an excellent communicator. You are a champion of customer queries and issues, seeing them through to a satisfactory conclusion. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming customer calls.
  • Logging service requests and emergency response calls from customers.
  • Dealing with queries from customers and engineers and updating the service management system accordingly.
  • Processing and invoicing engineers jobs/raising credit notes.
  • Creating repair quotes.
     

Role Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications

  • Friendly, enthusiastic and a good team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Efficiency, accuracy, attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and willing to take the initiative
  • Aptitude to work without direct supervision
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multi task
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and, ideally, database programmes.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience of administration and reception work within a busy office environment
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades A-C (including Maths and English)
  • Ideally NVQ level 2 in Customer Service
     

Skills & Qualities

  • Good communication skills and the ability to listen empathetically to clients
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A good standard of verbal and written English
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload unsupervised
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Awareness of data protection issues and understanding of professional code of conduct
